This postmodern, metafictional work allows the reader to accompany the main character as she lives her life. She is a lively, postmodern mind-at-work. The novel tries to answer the question–they say they love me but why do they treat me so bad? Many people, especially women, have encountered this contradiction at some time in their lives. The postmodern use of punctuation, and all the other mechanics of writing, run throughout the book. At times, people have thought the words were mistakes or misuses. The variations of all the traditions of writing are done on purpose. The work should be though of like an abstract painting.
